The Discover H20 Polo is developed as a grassroots scheme with the aim to provide a comprehensive road map for the initiation of water polo fundamentals, focusing on increasing the nationwide development and amount of participants in water polo around Trinidad and Tobago.
A Teaching Manual was designed as a step-by-step guide aimed to provide basic knowledge and resources for swimming instructors and eventual, budding water polo coaches to assist them in introducing basic water polo skills to children aged 8 – 14 whether they can or cannot swim. It was designed to help those who are new to the sport and it presents a combination of selected water polo skills and drills in a simple and progressive way. It offers guidelines concerning the teaching principles and methodology, as well as direction on how to plan and implement the sessions.
